PEZ TAB 2015

PEZ acquisitions were a bit few and definitely far between in 2015.  A few major pieces have yet to be found - prominently, the Harry Potter Gift Set and the new Star Wars Gift Set.  Keep on the look out for those.

ARIZONA = PEZ

Sweeties Candy store recently opened in Chandler, AZ.  The mother store is in Cleveland, Ohio and boasts the largest (40,000 sf.) candy store in the North America.  Look at all those PEZ in the above photo recently tweeted on the PEZ.com website.   Hey, let's go visit Grandma Hodgkinson right away!

2015 PEZ WATCH

Anticpated PEZ for 2105 include the following:.

AVENGERS set is scheduled to coincide with the new Avengers 2 Movie coming out this May.  The characters are all repeats with Hulk and perhaps one other character with a new look.

DESPICABLE ME all new set and characters.

HARRY POTTER boxed gift set is due out, probably near Christmas, as the gift sets usually go.

Kiniopio of the SUPER MARIO BRO. set was advertised as out last year.  None of our collectors have reported seeing it.

MY LITTLE PONY new European Set is not expected to be seen in the US this year.

PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR is a new European sub-set of the Madagascar series.  This set came out in Europe at the end of 2014 with the characters Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private. 

A new STAR WARS tinned gift set is scheduled for release with the new Star Wars movie.  Rumor is that Yoda and Darth Vader may be redesigned.

The TARGET PUPPY came out during Christmas 2014 in Target Stores with a Gift Card. 

New 2015 HEARTS with new script of old sayings.

2015 CHRISTMAS PLUSH with what looks like repeats of Snowman and Reindeer and a brand new Santa

Some new animals are promoted to come out to add to the WILDLIFE PLUSH series.

Also this year two more PRESIDENTIAL boxed sets are scheduled.  Nixon, Ford, G. H. W. Bush and Clinton will be in Volume VIII, and Carter, Regan, G. W. Bush and Obama will be included in Volume IX.

2014 PEZ WATCH

Our PEZ postings have been predominantly not present in 2014.  Frankly, PEZ have been practically impossible to find in California.  More than ever the collection is in need of PEZ focused eyes spread across the country for the following, which are all reported to be out and available at this time. The collection has only added 3 characters so far this year!!!
P.S.  Not known if there are any new Halloween characters this year.

NEW ACQUISITIONS 2013

2013 was not a particularly bumper year in PEZ acquisitions.  It was not for not trying.  The west coast seemed to not provide a plethora of the new issues for 2013.  Look back through the PEZ Watch posts of 2013.  There are a lot not collected as they don't seem to be in this part of the country.  Since we have collectors in all time zones in the US, collectors in other regions should look for the missing 2013 issues.

MISSOURI FOOTBALL was found on Mom & Dad's visit to Missouri a few month ago.  The CUBS BASEBALL PEZ is a gift from a family friend who is a dedicated Cubs fan and Cubs items collector..

The TARGET DOG was a fun and totally unexpected find during Christmas shopping.  It is actually a gift card (for pets). To get the PEZ one needed to put at least $5 on the gift card.  Dad put $5 on the card then turned around and handed the card to mom (buying other Christmas gifts) in the checkout line behind him..  $5 was taken off the gift card and we had a "free" PEZ

We finally got the 2th PRESIDENTIAL SERIES (from 2012) and the also the 3rd PRESIDENTIAL SERIES.  (Keep a look out for 4 and 5, they have not made it to west coast Walmarts)
